MOTIVATION

Hey Guys,

Just a quick update – ‘City Streets – Part Three’ is now in motion! Slowly, but surely. I’m looking forward to finding out what you guys think of the final installment. Today’s post is mostly about motivation.

The picture for the post was taken in March – my friends had just moved into their house and I’d noticed parts one and two of ‘City Streets’ sat on her bookshelf. Definitely a surreal moment for me! Although my novels aren’t sitting in bookshops all over the world, to know that it is available online and the fact that it’s sitting on people’s bookshelves is an incredible feeling.

Looking at this makes me wonder what my next standalone novel will look like sat on a shelf. Which colours will I choose? Will I change any of the titles? Who knows until the time comes. The point is that looking at this picture makes me want to fill many more shelves with novels.

Even if you want to save up for a holiday to Las Vegas or wherever you want to jet off to, print out a picture of that location. Each time you look at it, it will make you want to save up that little bit more! I know it’s not the most profound post in the universe, yet anything is truly possible if you set your mind to it.

I’ll be the first to mention that never in a million years did I think I could even think about writing a novel, let alone actually doing this and working on my third.

Whatever your goal is, long term or short term – anything is achievable if you want it. I would love to be published one day, yet the fact that people own my work and people have enjoyed the novels is incredible. This pushes me to wanting to pursue this further and hopefully one day, I can pick it up in Waterstones!

Happy Wednesday!
