Hi guys,
Sorry for the extra long break that I’ve taken from the site! Time has just been flying by over the past couple of weeks and I haven’t even looked at anything to do with writing, even remotely. This doesn’t mean that I haven’t been thinking about ideas or possible scenes, I just simply felt as if there wasn’t anything that sprung to mind that I felt the incredible urge to write down – anything that I had begun to write would frustrate me as I felt that it wasn’t going in the direction that I wanted it to go.
Big projects that I try to work towards obviously take time – I don’t want to bring something out quickly and the material not be the best that it can possibly be. In regards to ‘Back To Reality’, it is currently still boiling away in my mind. This is a project that I’m not willing to push forward without making it my best. I want you guys to enjoy my standalone novels, just as much as you have been enjoying the ‘City Streets’ series so far.
This doesn’t mean to say I’m not feeling inspired whatsoever! I’ve got a couple of other things in mind before I want to bring forward ‘Back To Reality’, and I’m hoping that this small (and very different) project will tide you guys over! I’m really excited to step into something new and let myself have a more relaxed approach to this next book. I think I need to ease myself back into the world of heavy writing and not throw myself in the deep end.
It’s almost been a year since I finished ‘City Streets – Part Two’, and I haven’t really done any substantial writing since then, which is a little saddening. I took a break from it all and I can’t say it’s been the easiest thing to pick back up, especially as I have at least six to seven new projects I have in mind, it’s hard to pick just one!
Anyway, enough rambling! I’m heading over to a blank document now to start something new! Remember to keep tweeting @CityStreets_, I really love to hear from you guys!
